Just out of interest, a question: how is it actually with a photovoltaic system and parental allowance? From what size are you considered an entrepreneur and therefore do not receive parental allowance? Or is that always the case as soon as you have a photovoltaic system? (Background: a friend recently said that her partner does not receive parental allowance because of the photovoltaic system registered in his name)

More net income means more parental allowance. Not less. Only the application is more complicated. Whether self-employed or not does not initially matter.

The offer also sounds quite reasonable. I hope your system is running satisfactorily.

Not all regional providers have completely bad offers either. I also had an offer from a regional provider that was very reasonable in price. However, the technical solution did not quite fit my roof perfectly. The pricewise and technically perfect solution was then found and delivered by another regional provider via a roundabout way.

That is only partially true. Income during the period of receiving parental allowance (this presumably includes the monthly payments from the network operator) is counted against the parental allowance and reduces it. However, there may be an exemption amount. I don't know that off the top of my head.

Indeed. I had previously thought that only the 30-hour limit applied. But apparently, the solar money is also taken into account. However, it can't be that much anymore after taxes and deduction of loan costs, right? And in an emergency, you just have to schedule your parental leave for the winter!

Spontaneous thought:

You simply don’t issue invoices during parental leave, ergo no income during parental leave, therefore nothing to offset. Of course, this can’t go on forever.

Parental allowance as a self-employed person is a really wonderful thing, I can say from experience
