They probably miscalculated somewhere beforehand and now don't want to pay the bill. He thinks it might not be possible to implement the offered gas/solar system in compliance with the [Energieeinsparverordnung]. Let's see how the construction contractor will position themselves there.

In the meantime, we have decided to have the T30 door from the garage to the house installed after all. Accordingly, we would also need an armed mode for the EMA there as well as ideally an Ekey solution like at the front door. The only question is whether something like that is even possible with a T30 door. I will clarify that tomorrow. The electrician is somewhat skeptical about it. But otherwise, such a door doesn’t make sense. If anything, it has to be a full-fledged house entrance. And then it must also be possible to arm and disarm it.

*grin* Where did the impulse for that come from again?

From the EMA installer. He said you could trick the arming. The garage doors are connected to the alarm. He suggested delaying their alarm trigger by 50 seconds, so that you have enough time to go to the eKey of the T30 door after parking the vehicle in order to disarm it. Until now, an eKey solution on the T30 door was unimaginable for me – or rather, I didn't know something like that was even possible. And if you don't have a full house access at this point, it doesn't make any sense at all. I will leave the house there, and logically want to arm it there, not run to the front door.

I have to talk to the supplier of the T30 door about whether that's even possible. The general contractor is not sure about that. If it doesn't work, it will just be bricked up. Maybe it will turn out that the EMA installer took it too lightly.

Wow, having to walk to the door in 50 seconds is quite athletic.

You just can’t finish listening to a song you like in the car. The woman then also has to first walk to the door and then back to the car until she has picked up her handbag or the groceries.

I also imagine it’s great when the child in the back of the car has been crying the whole time and you still have to go to the door first so the alarm doesn’t go off. There’s supposed to be no stress then...
