The ceiling is cream-colored, the walls in two different shades of yellow.

I once read that yellow colors are rather used in rooms with less sun (north side) to make the rooms appear brighter!?

Yes, I have read that too. The room actually gets a lot of daylight, but I like yellow tones so much. If it weren’t for the risk of chocolate smearing or red wine spilling, I would have a yellow fabric sofa as well.

The photos are from our current apartment, how "colorful" it will be in the house is not yet clear. I still love every single room, nevertheless we probably won't "take over" everything for the house =)

I like the earthy tone of the living/dining room. However, the green from the kitchen is rather the opposite. But it is "only" your current apartment anyway.

I also find the green rather eye-straining... but taste is subjective, of course. It certainly wouldn't be my choice.

We have white almost everywhere, except for the bedroom, where I wanted a cozy nook and the color is a dark mud brown (or something like that... no idea what the color is called, it's a Keim color from their color palette):
