Kitchen fronts in matte or glossy white for a rental apartment?

One of the interior designers working for my client also wanted to sell us a matte black kitchen for one of the office remodels. Our very loud laughter disturbed him a bit. Matte in the kitchen is extremely difficult to maintain, as the moped already wrote, grease and oil are hard to remove. And there is plenty of that in kitchens where cooking is done. Even with the high-priced materials, cleaning is not as easy as with glossy fronts.

I fully agree with that. We have matte black fronts on the doors and always have a fingerprint or stain somewhere. Cleaning is simple, but you have to do it constantly if you want to take care of the surfaces at all times. We can easily live with a few stains in everyday relaxed life and quickly get everything back in shape when we feel like it. In a rental apartment - never! For people with a permanent cleanliness obsession: never (at least not without a full-time cleaning staff - which we don’t want)!

I would choose laminate or melamine, light, price group 1 or 2.

Or some manufacturers do have full plastic after all. It should offer the appropriate durability for a rental apartment. However, I don't think it belongs to price group 1 or 2.

I know melamine from the old dishes in the motorhome. It really stands up to a lot!

Full agreement. After having a real wood real lacquer front because of the children, we have now also chosen laminate. With that, the underlying wood is more likely to be damaged than the surface.
