And in this case it is actually about the perhaps too high residual moisture in the screed, which should be able to escape.
That was exactly our concern. This way the possible residual moisture can escape at the sides and is not blocked by the baseboards.
In many posts here in the forum, mold behind the baseboards occurred because the moisture had nowhere to go. We want to avoid that.
And taking 2-3 days off for this in half a year should be doable. Of course, people tend to get lazy once they have moved in, but I can always motivate myself well for something like this. So, no big deal.
