So we had another conversation with the provider of the roof covering. A foundation under the slabs is possible. The drilling is then done through the slabs.

Shading upwards is provided by an awning below the roof covering.
Even if the heat initially penetrates through the glass, the awning can be left rolled out permanently in summer, and the terrace does not warm up as much.

Rainwater is then supposed to be drained downwards through the post.

The 20 cm shorter roof covering should not be significant with a depth of 4m.

we had the foundations for the roof done together with the foundations for the floor slab - and presumably the roof will only be built afterwards, so the WPC decking boards will just have to be cut to size afterwards, I don't see a problem with that now.

So in OWL, for a 3x3.5 m glass canopy in aluminum design with shading under the glass plus a 3x3.5 m awning, you are looking at between 12 and 16 thousand depending on the luxurious equipment. I got several offers.

Our terrace will be 3x7 m and we were considering whether a full roof or only half - we decided on half.
