Well, then the construction is getting closer – fingers crossed that nothing has to be changed because of finances. After some time has passed, I looked at your house thread again and still believe that the planner did a thorough job. There are minor details after the decimal point that, in my opinion, could be done differently. This will be a house that you will be happy with – even with the staircase layout unchanged as planned. A straight two-flight staircase instead of a spiral one would require about eight to ten square meters more floor space for the house so that nothing else has to suffer and the overall composition remains "rounded."

Thanks again for the feedback. We are still happy with the floor plan. The stairs are just a bit of an issue; I get creeped out by things like that (see attachment – it even looks wider than 2 meters). But the floor plan takes priority.

The building authority said we can start in mid/end of March. The architect says it will be June/July. So construction delay due to the slow development :-(.

Do you have any ideas or pictures of how to get a nicer staircase in there?

40 cm less kitchen wouldn't hurt me, but the room upstairs will be the 2nd children's room...

Now I missed something. It says 2 children and no more are supposed to be added. Upstairs there are 2 children's rooms drawn and the study. I assume the rooms are supposed to be swapped or has another child been added after all?
