I am very afraid of overstraining your and other forum members' patience, but I still haven't understood. Does that mean the color designation "sto 16024" says little about how light or dark a color is, but the relevant value is the lightness value "HB 81"? Can I then assume that the color presented in my initial post exists in lighter and darker versions and that with the lightness value "HB 81" we will get a lighter variant than the one shown in the photo?

No, the designation Sto 16024 is the "name," the serial number of the color at the manufacturer. The value HB 81 is a measure that indicates the brightness factor the color has. If you take the Sto color chart, each shade has a different brightness value. The color may possibly exist in different versions regarding the type of paint. So with "nano effect" and stuff like that.

(Not an expert). I had understood it rather the other way around in the discussions here. That Sto 16024 is a fixed color designation and the HB value is a characteristic of this color (to make it easier to compare). So there is no Sto 16024 with HB 5 and one with HB 80 or something like that. When I google Sto 16034, I also find a color overview from Stoindustry where exactly this HB 81 value is given.

Edit: too slow

So, the color Sto 16024 is as dark as shown? Then it definitely does not match the selected color. Our chosen color was only slightly more yellowish than white.

No, as already pointed out, you can forget about anything you look at on a screen. It will never be reproduced authentically.
Even on the color chart, you have to be careful. It is usually smooth cardboard/paper. Your plaster has a completely different surface. It’s best to pick two or three favorites and have a sample made. Our plasterer did that for us as well. They are about DIN A3 size. You can then hold them up outside against the house. Ideally, on all sides and once in the shade, once in the sun. Then you quickly notice that it’s totally different.
We also use Sto. And I can tell you that one number up or down sometimes makes huge differences.

The Sto numbers 16xxx are their internal color codes. The HB value is a measurement parameter. It indicates how much "brightness," i.e. light, is reflected by the color tone.

I have now also looked again on the Sto page. This is definitely an error in the documents. We did not choose this color and my phone photo is also significantly lighter and more yellowish.

I have already contacted our sampler, to whom I was able to send our phone photo. I hope we can still change the color.
