Cost of house connection for Kabel Deutschland and Telekom?

We paid €399 for the Telekom connection or the cable. Laying and earthworks are not included in this price. Our civil engineer took care of these tasks. As far as I remember, Telekom charges €14.90 per meter of cable laid, without earthworks. For the activation inside the house, we had to pay a one-time fee of €100. The technician needed just under 3 minutes for this.

By the way, we were not contractually bound by Telekom. We were able to continue our contract with 1&1 without upload-download losses.

399 euros are no longer valid (we paid them as well) – they only apply if you sign a Magenta contract, otherwise you pay 599 euros.

And earthworks are definitely included – if you paid for them separately, your civil engineer tricked you.

With us, all earthworks were centrally coordinated and executed by the utility provider, although electricity (RWE), water (municipal utilities), and telephone (Telekom) are considered individual "trades". The big advantage was that one trench was created and everything was laid and connected within one week.

With every provider, the flat rate was paid, and not a cent went to the civil engineer.

Civil engineering costs were not included! Our trench was 40 m long in the end, that was not included in the price. Telekom only supplied the cable! We were connected by SAG.

Ok, I mean that it ends at 9 or 12 meters. Until then, it is definitely included in the costs. We had 8m trench length and basement entry (which is always cheaper).
