Fiber optic connection is being installed - use existing multi-utility infrastructure?

So normally there are overview plans for something like that. Of course, if you have to tear up the finished yard for it, that's obviously annoying. I had the shell builder lay an additional empty conduit with a marking on the curb stone, which I can get to relatively easily.

Correct. However, the multi-utility duct is sealed gas-tight by the energy provider, with a seal that is exactly meant for this cable/pipe. If the fiber optic people now fiddle in an additional cable there, you lose all claims against the energy provider if something ever happens to the multi-utility duct...

Apart from that, every multi-utility duct known to me has 4 tubes... electric, gas, water... telecom...

For clarification: there is no gas in the house, in the multi-utility conduit there is water/electricity/telecom. We have an air-to-water heat pump, so the idea that the free conduit would someday be needed for gas is by now more than utopian.

But according to several reports from houses connected so far, it seems that workers who can/want to go through the multi-utility conduit are really not to be expected, so drilling will probably be done in our case as well....

My 4 multi-ducts are full and ideally occupied.
1. Electricity
2. Water
3. Cistern house water system
4. Telecom fiber optic AND Vodafone cable shared together in a single multi-duct.
They logically do what the builder and client say.

That is up to you to tell them where to enter. Ideally, you clear the multi-utility line for them in advance.
