By isolation, do you mean that no cold air comes to the window? That is relatively irrelevant with modern windows. The roller shutter box itself is insulated anyway. However, I am surprised that blinds are supposed to be cheaper; usually they cost more. If you decide on them, it is because of the option to tilt them so that more light comes in but it is still shaded.

Thank you, so the additional thermal insulation is irrelevant. The blinds are only cheaper because they are a Czech brand, but with Somfy motors. On the other hand, the blinds from Bubbendorf Solar are foldable (i.e., slats that can be tilted), 7 years warranty, so like a Rolls Royce, but then I wouldn't have to install electrical cables. Unfortunately, they don't have built-in insect protection.

The local carpenter with inhomogeneous glass wool VHF and fiber cement boards (Eternit Timboard) is favored due to price-performance ratio. The energy consultant says inhomogeneous (i.e. 2 x 8 cm glass wool and the first layer squeezed into the wooden substructure) is "old style," today everything is done homogeneous - 16 cm blocks are dowelled on or fixed with angled dowels. I think the carpenter has been doing facades like this (inhomogeneous) for a while and I don’t dare to disagree. Sometimes it’s not advisable as a layperson to interfere with the experts, or what do you think? I will definitely ask why. Because of the attic cladding of the porch roof, really good idea, I am still looking for someone (are they plumbers?) who will clad it with a rebate including side wall or should the side wall be done like the facade with fiber cement and only the board on top with rebate? The Bubbendorf solar blinds are just as expensive as the venetian blinds + electricity. I prefer the variant with solar, if you pull 2 empty tubes from the roof screed to the windows in the basement, these are again some cold bridges (i.e. the exit from the roof screed, although it is unheated/uninhabited).

Hard to believe, I'm back but without a facade. I have already submitted everything and placed the order, last week the contracted carpenter stood me up, threw the stub at my feet, verbally terminated, and was gone. Now I am standing with uncovered walls but at least XPS base insulation wrapped in stainless steel (18 cm) is in place. With a bit of luck, I will get 2-3 quotes, the variants differ: blown-in insulation on wooden studs, wood fiberboard, ventilation and then lathing with fiber cement (Cembrit, Eternit panels), larch, or aluminum siding (expensive but low maintenance). Alternatively, rock wool will be clamped into the wooden substructure or mineral wool (glass or rock wool) on aluminum substructure as insulation. I tend to go for blown-in insulation, glass wool somehow doesn't appeal to me. The reveals are a huge problem though, because I have no space. Has anyone blown cellulose into the VHF and can report on it (how it is after years). Thanks
