We have another resident in the garden. A warm welcome to the barred grass snake, which apparently feels comfortable in the narrow strip of stones by the house.
The actual house is still a little way off - but the small garden shed is already standing and has received its anthracite paint (or even two coats...). The window cross will still be white, but I'm a bit lacking in the delicate hand for that. I will leave that to other house residents at a later point.
Well, then I'll exceptionally contribute a picture as well.
I built this together with my father-in-law this year; it took 4 days.
It's completely self-designed and constructed, the floor plan is also asymmetrical.
The facade is Siberian larch, the roof is EPDM foil, the finishing sheet metal is powder-coated.
Great house, may I ask if you have a construction plan for it?
Now the garden house for 3-4 chickens is also in place. The floor of the enclosure will still be adapted to be species-appropriate, and there is already a 100m electric fence for a larger free-range area, but it will probably not be set up until spring. For now, it is important that nothing toxic grows back.
...on 4 chickens next year I am also just now! I ordered a book about building coops and will build the little house on the chassis of a small trailer over the winter.
We have a pergola in the garden. It is made of metal and practically no one ever sat in it, it will become the aviary.
What kind of chickens are you thinking of? Is there also a rooster?
