The roller shutter is on the south side. We therefore need it for shading.

How does the inspection opening work, is it very complicated?

Why no venetian blinds? We planned them on the west side, where, among other things, a fixed element of 2.50m is intended.

The south side looks really stupid when shutters darken everything during the day...

We also have 2-meter-wide doors in the living area, which we can open completely. Are you sure you won’t regret later if you install windows that cannot be opened?

We have three units of glass on the west side:

Kitchen with 2m - fully openable with Stulp
Dining room with 2.50m - fixed element with a continuous glass pane
Living room with 2m - fully openable with Stulp

Dining and living room are one unit - I do not need a third exit to the terrace and prefer a complete glass front at the dining table.

We once rented it (large fixed window with roller shutter), next to it the terrace door. To be honest, we never thought about the fact that the inside of the roller shutter might need to be cleaned. I wouldn’t worry about that.

So... with us (raffstores on the south and west side - also has the advantage that you can clean both sides from the outside): south side glass front 4m x 2.16m (two-part) - fixed glazing, behind it partly 1.8m down to the floor. To the terrace (west side) 2x 2.76m x 2.16m - one sliding door, one fixed - on the TV side a sliding door is not necessary. Acquaintances: similar window front facing southeast - fixed glazing - behind it drops vertically 3m. Raffstores. The cleaning topic will still be exciting. Advantage of fixed glazing: no French balcony required, brilliant view, with the 3m vertical drop slightly something to get used to...
