The wall is not level on the base plate or protrudes by 2 cm

Often they are already eliminated by the builders during the selection process because their offers are considered too expensive. Those who are good are allowed to be more expensive. Therefore, keep your eyes open when choosing partners – because they do exist, the excellent companies.

I prefer to save myself the trouble and pay a fair price for all parties from the start.

A high price in itself is not a guarantee of quality – on the other hand, bargain hunting in construction is often a recipe for disaster.

You can trust people who love their job the most in construction. We paid attention to this when selecting the craftsmen – and to the fact that the masters/owners maintain good relationships with their employees. For this purpose, we chose companies from the region that have a good reputation and also value it.

Trust is good, but control is only better as long as it does not take on pathological dimensions (which I do not fear here, but I share the assessment of to suspect fear in view of the described deviations, that the questioner might have an Excel-millimeter-precision profession).

So we have already had some smaller and larger issues. No one should be pedantic, but sometimes you get the feeling that in construction people just go by the motto: "It will be accepted like this afterwards." The masons could have just asked the site manager briefly before creating faits accomplis. Then it might have been decided to set the wall flush with the base plate and to do without the 2 cm on the inside because afterwards you have less trouble with it... From my point of view, it is rather a problem of "doing and hoping that no one makes a fuss instead of just asking briefly."

That's exactly how it works. You always work just well or poorly enough for the customer to barely be satisfied. And if he complains, then of course he is the bad guy.

Expensive = Good does not work in construction.

Site managers are also people with very different tastes - I much prefer a DIN standard when it comes to interpreting what the professional way is. And here it is such that the protruding 2 cm wall thickness will not shear off and you will enjoy the planned position of the wall more than its irrelevant in this case meticulous flushness with the edge of the base slab.
