Hello questioner,

Summary: Exclusively, if a) the laying direction is GIVEN LONGITUDINALLY and at the same time b) you want to start every row alternately on the left and right with a half tile, you would have to rotate every 2nd cut piece at all.

Is this exactly the case for you? If not, there could be a mistake in your reasoning...

Hi

I can well imagine that a tile laid in the wrong direction only becomes noticeable over a larger area and is not immediately visible on its own.
For the situation in the hallway, for example.
You just have to lay half the tile on the correct side each time.

I would definitely follow the installation direction in the living room. We had the same question with the pepper and salt pattern. The expert replied that you can tell afterwards because the gloss of the surface and even the speckles look different when they are installed the wrong way.

What Wrobel means is, for example, like this:

Then all the tiles can also be laid in the direction of the arrow. I also suspect that not adhering to this will indeed be noticeable.

Of course. That’s how it’s done. In case of doubt, you then have exactly one scrap as a loss.
