Ok, if there was still space. The kitchen studio will definitely come for the actual on-site measurement at some point. Just make sure to check everything again then. You know the critical point now.

I don't understand the point of a SbS fridge built into a kitchen unit – the same function is also available as a built-in fridge, and then you no longer have the problem of the thing sticking out. That would be my solution.

But I know there are people who absolutely want such a SbS – then so be it.

Please take a DG with a microwave instead of the built-in microwave – the functionality is much more extensive! I still don't know why anyone needs a microwave – but that’s also a personal opinion. That's why I have a DG with oven function, but there are also models with microwave function. But I definitely wouldn’t want to do without the DG anymore. Installation dimensions remain the same, so nothing needs to be changed in the kitchen planning (unless the DG is desired with a fixed water connection).

The handles look fancy, but for me as a cooking fanatic they’re not suitable – I need to have at least two kitchen towels hanging within reach while cooking, which simply isn’t possible with these handles. Think about whether you really want that. If yes – as said: it looks fancy!

btw: I don’t necessarily like those photo backsplashes with pictures either – but they can be easily changed *g*. I like the stone (Nero assoluto flamed?), but the entire niches with it would be a bit too dark for me; it looks somewhat like a crypt. At least definitely plan niche lighting! Alternatively, I would not extend the backsplash all the way up to the upper units, but leave a piece of white wall in between; only behind the stove extend the backsplash up to the upper units. That also loosens it up.

+1 for a steam cooker or even better an oven with steam function. Just for the rolls or the bread that comes out of it, it's worth it!

Alternative: Have a cabinet the size of a steam cooker and a suitable power outlet prepared, and initially place the microwave there. This was done for me because I absolutely do not want to do without the microwave, but (at least for now) would not use a steam cooker.

Can you recommend a durable oven with steam?

We have a Neff Variosteam, which can do that quite well.
