Again about the tiles: upstairs in the main bathroom we have dark tiles for the floor and in the guest WC light ones (on which you don’t immediately see footprints, because the entrance area was tiled with the same tile). In between oak parquet. On the walls, white in each case. Upstairs we originally wanted slate, we like that. But then we decided on stoneware in slate look when we heard what kind of care slate requires (that's when the practically minded housewife thought "NO THANKS!"). I don’t think that this messes up our "color scheme," the bathrooms are separated by a floor. So I would consider in each bathroom what I would like and what makes sense there. As nice as we find the dark tiles upstairs in our very bright bathroom – we wouldn’t have wanted them in the entrance area, color scheme or not, and also not in the small and relatively dark guest WC. The lighter floor tiles work much better there! Conversely, the bathroom upstairs with light tiles would probably have been a bit dull. So, and what harm would have come to me now if I had forced myself to stick to one tile? Therefore: feel free!

Today, Viebrockhaus started the excavation – nice to see how close it actually gets with only three construction sites in the area – and above all, how much material still accumulates despite a 1.30m height difference for the basement builders.

Are there actually also terraced houses opposite? I mean directly adjacent to your garden?

The plots of REH 6483/6481 are not exactly abundant either.

Yep - especially due to the rounding at each corner, both have to keep a distance of 2.50m on the sides and 5.00m at the front, and since they are not middle houses, the lower floor area ratio of 0.4 instead of 0.5 applies. Thus, both are allowed to build just 6x12m including the terrace.
