We also have silver-colored window sills and I think they don't stand out despite the dark window frames.

I would generally advise against dark window sills, even if they don't scratch: you can see every raindrop, every pollen speck on them. It always looks dirty and unkempt. Stick with the silver ones.

Our house is in its 6th year - the aluminum windowsills are not scratched. How should that happen? But we also don't have any in front of the patio doors; there, the outdoor flooring connects directly.

I also think they don’t stand out. I couldn’t say from memory which of the neighbors have silver or gray ones with the gray windows.
