We are currently in the final stages of the move. The house has now been plastered and the scaffolding should be removed next week. On Monday, the electrician will come again for the intercom system and other small items.

There is also news from the middle house neighbor: he had a ground survey carried out this week and already sent me the structural calculations for the underpinning from his structural engineer. His rough builder will probably be one who is already building with us in NBG and makes a good impression.

First of all, congratulations. Compared to other construction projects I've been following here, things went quite smoothly for you, that's nice. May I further interpret your post to mean that your middle house neighbor is starting to get on track?

I would put it this way: he has now "caught up" with us.

We have now been moved in for two days and feel very comfortable in the new home.

However, I unfortunately have to note that our self-installed floor bounces or gives way in many places. According to the main contractor, our screed was within tolerance – so we simply laid a vapor barrier and then the floating design floor on top. Unfortunately, in some places it doesn't feel nice to walk on and is somehow quite frustrating.

Has anyone else had such a problem and then had the floor reinstalled immediately after moving in?

I will talk to our main contractor to see what he thinks in hindsight about his "recommendation." He said that the floor can be laid directly.

You will never get the same (good) feeling with floating installed flooring as with glued flooring. Everyone knows from renting an apartment with laminate how it moves as soon as the heavy wardrobe is set up. Probably skipped the leveling compound for that?
