Can you buy it together with the other end house? Or absolutely not financially feasible, even at a friendly price?

We would certainly calculate that once. Maybe the plot can be divided, and we would actually do a 50:50 with the Viebrockhaus. But first, let's see...

Nice thought but isn’t there a building obligation? Otherwise, I would now have 380m2 of garden, unfortunately that was the case for us. But the neighbor is nice.

Well, if anything, you should act before the next buyer finds their misfortune. In case of doubt, explain the story so far to the city council or municipal council and then buy according to the standard land value (possibly discounted) as a divided plot without building obligation. Then the story would have a happy ending :-)

If it is financially feasible, it could be a good investment. It increases the living value for you and your other end house neighbor, increases the value for a possible future buyer, and possibly you can even make 1-2 wall openings for additional windows in ten or twenty years. But it lowers the maintenance value here in the forum. And, after all, you have to pay it off...

Or, even better, they cancel the building rights of the divided property and sell it to you as unbuildable meadow for 20 euros per square meter :p

Great, I’m very happy for you. The new year is starting off well for you. :-)

Is there a possibility that, for example, you and the other neighbor could buy the property together? How quickly does it have to be built on? I would be interested to know how much money is being asked for it and approximately how much your house or the neighbor’s house cost, to be able to estimate whether these are astronomical sums or if a purchase shared between you two would be realistic. Maybe forming a building community with one or two other people you trust is also possible. Then rent out the house or something like that. There are many people at the moment who have some money "lying around" in the bank, which wouldn’t be enough for a whole house but would be enough for a share of a house … and who might then rent the house.
