Should you have misunderstood and forgotten my words that I cannot stand these cat repellent boxes?
I only pointed out that a 3 m boundary distance could mean an objective impossibility, since in the case of a 7 m "wide" property they would practically only allow a central positioning.

The Internet is full of dozens of judgments, etc. Usually, it's only about the volume. The neighbor has to prove first that it is too loud.

There is also information in green and pink. I would just point the thing towards the street and not too close to the facade. Which one exactly will it be?

I find it interesting that this judgment is relatively recent. Meanwhile, some people claim that these heat pumps are so quiet that you can no longer hear them. Basically, I think a lover of this heating method should choose a model that they would have no qualms about placing in front of their own bedroom or children's room window.

The neighbor will presumably also want to install such a device somewhere. He has an even more serious problem. If it really does not have to be within the building field and is allowed to stand in front, it would be great to "find a joint solution" - as Merkel always so nicely says.

On the property, there are hardly any other possibilities left.

It's not about the neighbors (who all have the same problem), but whether the building authority can require me to keep the outdoor unit within the building envelope, even though it is not explicitly stated in the development plan or only the part concerning ancillary facilities.
