Pretty cynical. Although building with basements is probably very common in this area. Sure, in recent years this has also decreased here, but assuming that most of the plots will have basements solely due to the minimal subdivision is not wrong. I think it's time to really recalculate how much additional cost a basement actually causes under the given circumstances. What still needs to be excavated could possibly be distributed entirely on the property. That already saves quite a bit of cost.
