Build a terraced end house with an additional unit (GÜ) on your own

Has anyone else already started?

Two middle houses on our street have already excavated the basement. However, the whole thing is now on hold because they first have to think about the crane placement. It looks like they might have to pour foundations specifically for the crane since they are only allowed 1.25m onto the street: that's one way to burn money.

Otherwise, on Monday the end house of our house group will start building its Viebrockhaus. Then we'll have a nice small building gap in between. That will certainly be fun to build on the plot then.

Well: we probably still had the luck of the diligent on our side.

Apparently yes – with a basement and our terrain conditions probably longer. Their move-in date is planned for mid-April.

Something like "we are faster than the neighbor"... Something similar I once saw at a VW dealer in Stuttgart on their car dealership: "we can also do 3.0l 'consumption'". The neighbor was a Mercedes dealer.

I only reluctantly contradict the half-knowledge market leader and, as an aspiring doctor, would certainly have failed the Physikum – but I dare to doubt people who hear with their mouth.

Which it will win – yet Mittelhäusers are lucky: the renowned provider will not want to be outdone by a small competitor and at least put in a proper effort. Otherwise, the luck of the last diligent one is rather bitter.

Despite all sympathy for the Greta hype: three liters displacement are ecologically cleaner than having to need a new engine all the time, the small hot-rod engines don’t last half a million kilometers or more. I always like to recall an emissions comparison test between a Fiesta and a 911 Turbo, which the car with the worse image among "muesli eaters" won.

Bathroom on the upper floor and attic floor either color-coordinated (gray/white) or two separate tile colors? Then we would have beige/white in the main bathroom and gray/white in the attic.
