Build a terraced end house with an additional unit (GÜ) on your own

As expected, no basement insulation was installed four weeks ago. I then got in touch directly with the head of the shell construction company this week and lo and behold - since today the basement insulation is in place. Our landscaping gardener will then backfill on Friday, at the latest Monday, and then after almost two years, we can finally use our garden fully. On Wednesday, our terrace roof will be installed directly. The goal is to be finished in the garden by Pentecost - almost exactly two years after moving in.

On Wednesday, our terrace roofing will be installed directly. The goal is to have the garden finished by Pentecost – almost exactly two years after moving in.

I had to tape it over a year ago because otherwise it threatened to slip out.

What interests me: Why is a contact from you enough to get work done while the builder (seems to) not be able to do that? Did you have unbeatable arguments?

Good question… I can’t really say that in general. Probably just asked at the right time.

The basement insulation towards us wasn’t feasible otherwise, since he had to stay on his side of the property. Therefore, it is only 3cm thick. A thicker insulation was planned – he simply didn’t want to accept my quality proposal to use our property for the insulation back then, so that he could have insulated "properly".
