That is unfair, you didn’t deserve that. I hope it will get better soon.

In this whole circus, in which we have been repeatedly pointing out the problem of interception since the beginning of the year, his architect and later also other actors were already involved in the neighbor’s construction project, and all had the audacity to let themselves be drawn into the whole story. At no point does anyone show any reason or tact. They insisted on their right, which was not a right at all, without ever once seeking a conversation with us.

Since last August, when the neighbor was confirmed as the interested party for the property, there was one meeting from his side with all the Riegel builders – and that was the introductory meeting. We were never approached or at least informed once about when and how the construction work would be carried out. It was a hopeless mess, which has already cost us more work and nerves than we care to admit...

...it culminated on Monday in a disaster when they simply wanted to fool us and take away our right to ownership of the newly built, expensive house, which we only fought for through determined legal action – not to mention the disputes at the construction pit, where they still tried to make us look ridiculous.

I take this absolutely personally now and will under no circumstances make any move towards anyone – we have always behaved correctly and neighborly – now it’s over for us too.

He does have the option to appeal against the order or build without a basement.

I never wanted it to end like this – but sometimes you simply have to painfully show people their limits when they do not want to understand them on their own.

That he is so narrow-minded may well be true. Granted (at least for now). But what surprises me the most is this:

Neither the architect nor the civil engineer or any other craftsmen raised a veto? They are professionals, have liability insurance, an architects' chamber, and a guild, and for that reason alone are not kamikaze bombers! Or are they all cousins or brothers-in-law of the uncle, or how is one supposed to imagine this?
