The quartz fills your place up. From [Putz] onwards, strict indoor smoking ban.

Not me: I still smoke about half a pack per year – that's enough not to be the princess on the pea when exposed to secondhand smoke. I find the vapers annoying, though – I can already notice one at the other end of the hall.

Smoking is no longer allowed in the house with us either. But only because of the cigarette butts on the floor. The most persistent non-smokers are former smokers. I have been changing my smoking habits for two years. Prefer more cigars and fewer cigarettes. I could actually give them up sometime...

A cigar as enjoyment is also something different from two packs of cigarettes a day out of addiction and habit.

None of the drywall workers smoked inside anymore, I didn't even have to say anything. However, the landscape gardeners thought it didn't matter as long as it ended up under the pavement... no, it does matter, I also don't want cigarette butts under the permeable pavement. Despite requests and numerous metal buckets placed around, some definitely still ended up underneath...

We did exactly that. It was funny when the tiler mistook me in my painter's clothing not as the homeowner but mistakenly as a fellow tradesman and immediately started complaining about what a damn construction site it was where smoking wasn't allowed. I had to grin and he was super embarrassed afterwards.

Well, but in principle, they should be allowed to take their smoke breaks: The sign also said that in the garage drinks and ashtrays could be found protected from the weather. Despite the giant ashtray (a bucket with sand), countless cigarette butts ended up buried in the outdoor area later. Like , I find that a bit annoying, but I didn't want to fight that losing battle...
