The new, "unsubsidized" new development area of the municipality is then rather around 750-800 €. Neighboring municipalities did even better and agreed on a bidding process during the allocation, resulting in up to 900 €/sqm for the municipality.

Our city has also sold all the last plots through a bidding process and reportedly exceeded €1000/sqm.
I think we already had the whole discussion back then when we actually wanted to recommend to purchase the middle plot, possibly together with the other end house, and then rather build a nice semi-detached house... but it was not financially feasible (if it had been allowed).

In a village not far from us, plots of land (245 sqm) were also sold for 1000 €/sqm (not from private sellers!). And they were sold out within a few hours...

That is really crazy. With my 500 EUR /m² on the not quite outermost edge of Berlin, I can already be really satisfied...

50 km from Berlin (45 min by public transport to Alexanderplatz/Main Station) bought 2.5 years ago for 40 € / sqm (1,450 sqm)

Yes, but according to your own statement, that is also in the village. :P I live in the city! Yes, basically I would have almost preferred that to be less far outside, but that was not really an option for family reasons...
