In my opinion, the box is better placed where it is painted; mounted on the bedroom gable wall, I would think you are slowly adapting to the signs way of thinking.

I also would not hang such a device on the wall.

We currently have a steel staircase screwed to the outside wall of our apartment. This is supposedly decoupled as well... Nevertheless, you can clearly hear a dog running down there, etc.

I would prefer a self-contained foundation without a rigid connection to the house...
