May I ask how much the kitchen costs?

The kitchen, including installation, is 11,000 € after tough negotiations.

However, we will provide the side-by-side fridge, oven, built-in microwave, and cooktop ourselves. Dishwasher and extractor hood are included.

The prices for the appliances at the kitchen studio were simply atrocious. Installation of the appliances we bought ourselves is included in the 11k.

Just had contact with the middle house neighbor:

he will probably also build a 2.20m basement like the Viebrockhaus - if I look at my excavation plans, underpinning work should actually not be necessary.

However, we will soon/sometime also receive his plans so that my general contractor can check them. He indicates his construction start as Feb./March, which would suit us fine.

That looks like steering towards a happy ending - I just have to ask freely after Beckenbauer: "So, was it Christmas already today?"

This is how it would look now with the 2 x 15 cm apothecary units. The sink is not adjusted. It would then be moved further to the right.

Alternatively, the two circled spacer pieces could be widened so that the side-by-side would be further away from the open dishwasher door. In that version, the 30 cm apothecary unit would remain.

We are a bit torn back and forth.

With the 2x15s .. storage planning ... possibly 1x15 for towels and for vertically storing baking trays, etc. that are not needed, the other then for oil bottles, etc. For this, one could consider foregoing the tall drawers on the cooktop side and instead planning 2x drawers and 2x pull-outs. That makes 4 storage levels instead of only 3.
