Guys, now stop going on about the basement. 180€ also has to be earned. And with a calculation of 50,000€ it still ends up being 60,000 or more. So more than 180€.
That’s money, which hurts some people. The basement probably won’t even be fun, but rather won’t be accepted.
Or would you just have that money to spare? You have also partly saved, e.g. on the stairwell. I would have started there too and built 40 cm x 40 cm bigger – the stairs are defended as being optimal. And don’t tell me it ultimately wasn’t a matter of price.

That’s okay, but you won’t get an answer to your question, otherwise I’ll be the arrogant, know-it-all ass again.

I actually think it's a shame that the option basement is now dead. All the more, I take my hat off to , who clearly sticks to his line here and pushes forward his and his family's project extremely well. I hope the time has now come for you where things really move forward and not one unpleasant message follows another.

Best regards

Since we apparently now have a middle house neighbor, I wanted to give him the opportunity shortly before the start of construction to decide whether he would pay for the foundation construction so that we wouldn’t have to support it later.

I suggested that he could pay the difference between our fill and the foundation construction, so he wouldn’t have any problems later when building his basement – the surcharge is probably around 10-15k and would only benefit the neighbor. Whether our house is built on fill or on foundations is initially irrelevant.

The retaining wall to the neighbor would then have to be set to his future basement depth – however, the remaining area must also be founded, otherwise uneven settling could occur. Simply building the retaining wall and then filling up was explicitly not recommended by our general contractor.

According to the neighborhood law, we wouldn’t be allowed to gain any advantage from this anyway, otherwise we would have to refund the amount.

After consultation with the building authority and a phone call with our general contractor, our start of construction on 01.10. remains – in the construction area, only a few patches of pavement are missing. Road closure for the construction crane and construction power have been applied for – soil expert for conducting plate load tests and dynamic probing as well – at about 600 €, this is also “relatively” inexpensive.
