On the one hand, we only gave notice today and therefore still have three months - the handover of the house will be in about three to four weeks. Then comes the laying of the floors and the assembly of the furniture. We will only take the couch and dining room from the current apartment. The rest will be newly purchased, as the other things are all quite old.

Therefore, we have at least 6-7 weeks leeway for everything - and since our current landlords will not re-rent the apartment, we could, if necessary, also store something there temporarily. We live in the house with our landlords and have a good relationship.

Still, it will be exciting - actually, my brother-in-law wanted to help us lay the floors. Let's see if that will be possible.
