The two in the shower are simply too much, believe it. Especially the one in the shower could, as already mentioned here, collide with the showerhead.

The showerhead is 30 cm and therefore does not collide – especially in the shower we wanted (my wife) sufficient light.

I will probably just shower using the bathroom mirror light.

I have a lighted mirror in my bathroom (LED on both sides at 60cm height) and otherwise 5 ceiling spots (bathroom area approx. 10m²). I had the electrician bring something along here and also slipped up while checking... in any case, he installed 5x 60W equivalent and that in cool white. Lighting like in an operating room. Terrible. If a visitor ever switches on the light, the immediate call is: turn the light off! I never use it, only the mirror lighting is always on, which produces a very pleasant light. (The same game in the hallway, the lighting is always off, the stair light has to do the job). "Weaker" spots would probably have a smaller diameter, so I could only replace them with the same model in warm white. And I actually don't want to throw away the new lamps now. Presumably, I will occasionally cover them with a film that reduces the intensity, especially of the "cold" (=blue) component... but that’s not at the top of the list right now.

Here is my bathroom floor plan:

About 200 cm deep and approximately 220 cm wide.

My lighting plan:

So I have these 3 ceiling spots over about 200 cm (just normal 3x20 W spots).
And then on the right wall, a mirror with 2 attachment lights spanning the full width.

I find that very pleasant.

We will now only take three after all - GU just called from the construction site, saying that only three were prepared by the electrician and in his opinion are sufficient. So one in the shower, one above the toilet, and one in the entrance area. The washbasin will then be illuminated by the mirror lighting.

You can certainly dim the spotlights as well, just ask the electrician you trust.
