I can well imagine that the Thermokocher from Aldi is quite good for some applications. Precisely when you basically only need heating at a certain temperature while stirring at the same time. For that, there is no need for final prices beyond 1,000 euros; it’s not hocus pocus. If I ever really need exactly this functionality, then only with an inexpensive device. Sure, the Thermomix is certainly also a prestige object for which one gladly digs deeper into their pocket – for me just like the iPhone. My husband switched last year because the iPhone was practically unusable one or two years after purchase (appointment synchronization stopped working, the only feature he really uses constantly). The iPad was also disposed of and a cheap Samsung was purchased. Since then, there have been no problems surfing, retrieving emails, displaying the keyboard… and the memory can also be easily expanded and doesn’t have to be bought at a high price.

Need it? Really need it? In the kitchen, you really only need a wood stove and ideally a well within reach ^^. You don't need a kettle, a coffee machine, a microwave, a bread slicer, a mixer, ....
That Miele gadget, however, is another great invention for glossy show kitchens. So that guests, who are received with snacks at the kitchen island, can express envious admiration. No one will really need it; some might use it. Sure, not everyone will want or be able to afford it at that price, which makes it a great way to stand out. The market is certainly there for that.

And once again, I am looking forward to our new kitchen. One that will be nice and large and is made for cooking and baking. One where it doesn’t matter if a scratch appears on a cabinet front or a mark on the ceramic hob. One that doesn’t need to be polished every day to keep glossy surfaces presentable. One that cleans easily and where you don’t have to be afraid of breaking some delicate mechanism. One where you can really let loose sometimes. Simply a kitchen that doesn’t please everyone and doesn’t suit everyone – just us.

A life without a Dialog Oven is possible, but pointless. Seriously: that's more for people with an 80,000 euro kitchen unit.

Well guys, look at what the microwave or steam cooker cost when they were introduced to the market. The thing is fresh from development and the cooking principle is quite new (if you will, "topographic cooking"). In principle, actually quite funny, it will surely drop in price. Do you need it? Just as little as an induction stove or a microwave, and yet you find both in almost every kitchen. I'm curious to see what it will look like in 10 years...

An induction cooktop is absolutely necessary (alternatively gas), never a regular ceramic hob again. The time savings are simply priceless.
