Where do multiple sockets go? Where do you plan, if applicable, lighting decorations, for example at Christmas (sockets in window reveals)? Make sure to plan enough in the bathroom for hair dryers and similar. At what height should the sockets be (where should they be hidden and where upwards, so that you don't have to bend down to plug in)?

Mentally furnish the room Double sockets in every bedroom, office, or similar. Possibly more in the living room if the TV is rearranged. WLAN access point maybe in the stairwell. It’s best to hire a lighting planner. NO RTRs in the rooms. Control for shading at the room door together with the light switch.

It has always helped me for power outlets to mentally walk through the house with the vacuum cleaner. Additionally for lighting (floor lamps, table lamps), where devices should be charged... The kitchen is usually quite simple. The note about the bathroom (hairdryer, shaver) has already been mentioned. Just run through your daily routine!

It's always worth putting serious thought into lighting! I always find it creepy when the light above the coffee table in the living room is planned as a pendant lamp or the entire apartment is filled with recessed spotlights. Maybe people did that 30 years ago due to a lack of other options.

Also maybe:
- Cross switches in staircases, corridors, bedrooms (simulate walking paths)
- Switchable outdoor socket (burglary risk), possibly a timer for the outdoor socket under the entrance canopy (Weihnachtsstern )
- Sockets switchable via light switch in the bedroom for cabinet lighting (possibly also living room)
- Wi-Fi often has very poor coverage through concrete ceilings! With many floors, better to use cables with a transmitter on each floor.
- Shutters centrally controlled? We have an "all down or up" switch next to the front door.

LAN? Minimum in the home office, in the media area of the living room, and one access point per floor. More is then almost a matter of personal taste.

Towards the parking space at least a thick empty conduit or directly 5x4 mm2 from the house connection box. It does not necessarily have to be connected yet.

Do you have KNX or another smart home system?
If wall lights are desired as ambient lighting, don't forget to make the wall outlets dimmable as well. We forgot, but thanks to KNX this can be solved with an additional dimmer actuator.
For the countertop lighting in the kitchen, also provide a switched socket. It's nice to be able to switch it on directly at the light switch.
For LAN, also plan a power outlet for the access point next to it (or switch to PoE, but then the access points are significantly more expensive and the router must support it too).
