How do you handle the insulation with your projection? Does it extend onto the neighbor's property or do you keep your exterior wall a bit away from the boundary?
According to the Neighborhood Law, the insulation on new buildings must not extend onto the neighbor's property. Therefore, that is not an option.
From the beginning, we decided to insulate the entire side - also on the advice of our general contractor. We did not know how quickly we would get a neighbor. And as described above, since insulation cannot be added afterward, that was the most sensible choice.
It does cost us a few centimeters of living space and about 5k - but it also provides additional soundproofing.
