So, I'm just stepping out to take pictures of it at our place. I really don't find the aluminum-colored window sills at all disturbing. Especially not when our blinds are down, because we also chose them in aluminum color (for better light efficiency). But even on the NE side, where there are no blinds, I don't find them particularly disturbing; no one can see them upstairs anyway:

We have it inside. I really find it beautiful. Here is the same alternative in light from the neighbor. I was partly the same way and thought about every little thing. Do as you wish, but I think you will like the window sills once the plaster is on. This is how it looks at our place!
