We were out again today in the new development area of the neighboring community and lo and behold: it felt like two-thirds of the houses had anthracite-colored windows, silver window sills.

Coincidentally, this week windows were installed in anthracite with the same window sills in another house. It actually already looks very dirty after just a few days. Therefore, we will stick with the silver ones and invest the saved money in something more sensible.

I have also ordered our stove by now: recommended here (and because of the really good price), a Neff with VarioSteam as well as the matching built-in microwave.

Still missing are the side-by-side fridge and the cooktop. The rest will be provided by the kitchen studio.

Then we still have to agree on the color design over the weekend, because the painter is coming on Tuesday.

Also, I found a stain in our bedroom – our general contractor has to check what it is.

oh, fingers crossed that it’s nothing worse. Our entire OG insulation got soaked over the New Year. The only tiny bit of luck: it happened before the drywall was installed.

Your GU is reliable, digs thoroughly into the matter, and don’t let yourselves be fobbed off with clichés.

Are there any roof penetrations (sanitary vents or similar) in the rafter field on the roof slope?

Actually, there is nothing there at all. The spot is currently dry, of course, since it is not raining. However, everything was sealed before the drywall construction and no moisture intrusion was detected.

An acquaintance suspects damp insulation (wrong storage or got wet during delivery).

But our general contractor has to look into that — we have, of course, already informed him.

The insulation material would have had to be dripping wet back then, and you surely would have noticed that before the sheathing. But please continue reporting, and I wish you that it's only a minor issue.

I can't quite determine what the picture exactly shows, from which perspective, and at what viewing distance.
