If the neighbor has to intercept anyway when he is digging his basement, can't it simply be filled up, graveled, and then founded with a floor slab? I also don't imagine that to be unreasonable in terms of price. I have never dealt with such constellations before.

See my previous posts - the problem is the retaining wall to the middle house neighbor. According to the soil expert, it should be made from L-blocks, which the structural engineer then rejected because it wouldn't hold.

Therefore, it will now come down to a strip foundation - however, this has not yet been officially "announced" by the construction manager.

All in all, the whole thing is pretty stupid. Townhouses built in-house and then with/without a basement. Plus the terrain elevations. At best, everyone agrees on filling up, otherwise the (expensive) L-block battle starts and the whole building area looks totally jagged.

If only life were always that simple. Then try to get 20 landowners to agree on something – that will be interesting enough.

That would have been the task of the city's/district's planners. Now you get to clean up the mess.

Just look in the WhatsApp group, everyone came up with the idea of "piling up". There are plenty of negative examples here of L-steel neighborhoods. Absolutely horrifying. Nobody does that voluntarily. On top of that, it's expensive.
