No idea which one you mean with 5036 from Kopp. But I have exactly the one linked above. It has the white lamp installed and looks like the photo from the back.

No, of course not. I had them connected separately on the left and right. But yes, then the fuse naturally blows.

If I leave out N, the switch works as desired, but the lamp does not light up.

Therefore, I now assume that although the switch has a light, it is still the wrong one. Hence, above the linked one I have and the other one that also exists.

Sorry, but only one thing: GET AN ELECTRICIAN.

The old switch had a control lamp. Therefore N. Otherwise, N HAS NO BUSINESS in a switch. You don’t have the background knowledge to tinker with it yourself. Partial reading on the internet won’t help either. Giving tips here is not appropriate.

You endanger yourself and others, electricians do not exist without reason. They are nice people. They also check right away if someone has messed up the wiring of the lamp before.

And the new switch also has an indicator light.

The wiring diagram is painted right on it. If you don't understand what happens when you connect N and a phase opposite each other - FIND AN ELECTRICIAN. My goodness. By the way, your insurance won't pay you a cent if your place burns down.

Your photo says 5036. That is a normal on/off/changeover switch. Are you sure it has a lamp? Now they even warn you if you quote others and they accidentally posted a link... additionally, actual threats are being made here that you might receive a bill. Seems like arbitrary behavior from the admin as to when you get mail. I have been on the internet for 20 years and have never read such nonsense. So thanks for the many helpful tips over the last 5 1/2 years. I'm logging off here. :)
