It sounds a bit silly but I am hearing about desensitization for the first time. It may also be because we only discovered this allergy since we have been living in Germany. We originally come from Cameroon (born and raised there) and pollen allergy was never an issue there. Here we have always been prescribed cetirizine tablets. Then we were recommended to buy the Dyson air purifier. We did that, but it didn't help much. The last recommendation was then the pollen protection screens. We are now getting advice from our family doctor about it. Honestly, regarding the property question, the issues of permanent shade and multi-family houses around the property worry me more.

You mean you wouldn't buy the property, right?

I rather think he means that the slope can quickly become expensive. Whether it is already so steep that it becomes a deal-breaker depends, on the one hand, on your budget and, on the other hand, on the area. In some places, it's simply difficult to avoid slopes. Good planning can also help keep costs under control here, while poor planning on slopes becomes really expensive.

Basically, I also consider it a value to be able to stay in the same place. Not only because of [Kindergarten, school, and soccer club]. Even during the construction phase, you are very grateful if the way to the construction site is short.

Hey Mayglow,

What do you mean by OP?
We would have neighbors on the left and right (property no. 27 and no. 29). Then multi-family houses in front (front yard), and at the back we would have the forest. We have a rough idea of the floor plan. We haven’t discussed details like balconies yet. I think we would want balconies or a roof terrace on the side or most likely at the back (towards the forest).

Oh sorry, OP stands for "Opening Poster" (and is more Reddit slang, oops) or in German the thread starter. So you :) So the concern was that the people from the apartment building watch you from the balcony into the garden, but if they don't get a balcony facing your direction at all, then that would be rather unlikely...

Thank you for the explanation. I can clearly see that we definitely need to get advice before buying. Would an expert be the right person for that? And/or a construction company? The short way to the construction site would be great too. Best regards ☺️
