Tears come to your eyes from how intensely it is subsidized there...

We are building according to the Building Energy Act and are also getting it cheaper from our prefabricated house manufacturer. Our motivation to build without subsidies was, among other things, that we did not want some of the requirements (heat pump, mechanical ventilation, ...) and also did not want to deal with an energy consultant without experience. Acquiring experience has not succeeded for us, among other reasons, due to lack of motivation.
What we will certainly do, when cheaper storage systems become available, is switch to photovoltaics and buy a wallbox and an electric car. We are already very much looking forward to that. But we will probably do that without subsidies too, too much bureaucracy.

I just found this: Am I mistaken, or does this sound more like "we will resume the EH 40" than in the past few days, so is there a slight backtracking here? Or has it always been like that there or in other places? That makes me wonder if we are still waiting for it to be resumed after all?

If you are aiming for a 40 standard anyway, you don't have to wait with the signature. According to information from KFW this Monday, only the start of construction must not be before the funding application... I specifically asked about this to avoid price increases until resumption. If the funding comes back again, you can quickly commission the energy consultant... Without funding, you can save yourself that.

Ok, thanks for the info, that's definitely interesting. Unfortunately, I fear we won't be able to achieve the 40 standard without the funding. That means we would need to clearly know whether funding will continue or not. I'll keep it in mind.

Then you probably only have to wait for the topic, although I would not be at all surprised if the "continuation" takes place under drastically different conditions, because in principle the various funding stages do not differ in the orientation of their criteria, and there is certainly criticism of the general approach.
