Imagine, there are people who actually have to live on 'so little'. I think most people are just doing too well :D

For 3 children, the limit is 120,000€ disposable income annually, i.e. 10,000€ monthly. Some people really live far removed from any reality when something like this is considered "ridiculously low."

Honestly, we have no idea. The confirmation for the application (BZA) ID, which just a moment ago seemed so valuable, now apparently can't be used for anything anymore. In no debate so far has there been any mention of reopening the KfW55 window from last week. I would love to get the chance to enter my confirmation for the application (BZA) ID somewhere to receive my actually sure bet of €26,250. But I fear it’s healthier to mentally check this topic off. We have accordingly adjusted our financing earlier. Of course, I am still always open to a glimmer of hope

The Baukindergeld was nevertheless not a good subsidy. On the one hand because there was also "Bau"kindergeld for purchases from the existing stock, on the other hand because of the strict income limit. It would make more sense to taper the subsidy according to income, e.g. with a zvE of 40k there would be €10,000 and then one thousand less for every 5,000 zvE.

But the strict limits are a fundamental problem in Germany. In this case too, the gate closing could have been prevented with an appropriate tapering.

You misunderstood me. Who can afford, self-finance, and pay off a house with less than 120,000 zFE and 3 children, that's what I meant. Maybe it's possible in cheap federal states, but the majority are out of luck. And what I actually criticized was that, for example, you can have 5 children, ZERO INCOME, inherit 500k from mom, and still get money from the state. If you find that reasonable, you live "far from any reality" :)

Now seriously? A house (even for 3 children) can still be properly financed today with a 2000€ installment. I can't quickly find a calculator that calculates net income from zFE of 10k, but it definitely results in enough. Of course not for 250 sqm, fully basement, and the triple garage. But you can also live well in 135 sqm with 3 children without anyone having to give up their own room.
