For years, politicians have demanded that people renovate their old buildings and have even subsidized it to ensure it gets done. Now it’s happening, and people are completely surprised by it.

Are you going to stick with polemics or is there going to be some substantive content?

That's exactly it, unfair... But also the fact that about 10 billion were used up within two or three weeks and now suddenly another 5 can be added overnight, and they are still "working" on the 1 billion for new buildings...

That would also interest me, but I would really like to know how they want to differentiate here... Officially, in my opinion, this is not the case. But they are still "working" on it...

So from an economic perspective, the (energetic) renovation of existing buildings is more important than making a new build even more efficient (at the last 10% efficiency). In that respect, yes, one can find it annoying, I understand if people express discontent, but from the government's perspective, it is coherent.

I see it that way too, but no longer promoting new construction at all or putting it off for so long until there is nothing left at all is, in addition to the already unfair behavior compared to the 55er story, also very aggravating...

Strange, it is always written that KFW40 is not worthwhile anyway despite the subsidy and would be far too expensive, and now it suddenly threatens construction projects because it is not being subsidized? So one of the two can't be true, right?
