KfW BEG funding stopped 261, 262, 263, 264, 461, 463, 464

We managed to submit our application for the 461 grant within 10 minutes yesterday. Today we received a rejection stating that the funding is only for new buildings in flood-prone areas. The KfW has supposedly received thousands of such incorrect applications. Could this have been seen anywhere beforehand? As far as I know, this was not mentioned in the media reports.

It was indeed announced that the grant option would no longer be available in the short-term new edition and that only the repayment subsidy would remain. That was actually stated everywhere.

Well, here I have to say that it was really very clearly stated on the KfW website, you really couldn't miss it, even the flood issue was clearly legible. But you can still try it, I would assume most people would do that ;) even if you might not have intended it.

What has made me very suspicious over the past two weeks, however, is that not a single editorial office in Germany picked up this brutal circumstance (and its far-reaching impact), although it was written so clearly. :mad:

The latter would surprise me due to the large number of experts involved, that's why I'm asking.

Could you name an example of the experts involved? None comes to my mind offhand ;)

Nanana, I have occasionally read articles about the consequences of the discontinued funding, for example in the FAZ. It is simply a problem that affects a very small part of the population and is not necessarily life-threatening. There are currently enough other, more urgent problems that need the money, where real suffering can be alleviated.

Since there was already a stop on applications at the KfW development bank shortly after the launch of the new state funding for energy-saving new buildings, even though the application deadline was supposed to run until the end of this year (!), I wonder whether this is intentional or what is going wrong in this regard. Are there plausible reasons to organize the application process in this way or is it amateurism? The latter would surprise me given the number of professionals involved, which is why I’m asking.

Reassurance that there is still funding after all. My personal opinion. You can still have KfW 40 funded with a 12.5% grant. Who is stopping you from truly building sustainably with certification? Of course, hardly anyone does that because "people" don’t really value sustainability but just want to take subsidies ;)
