It is currently not just the missing 32k KfW funding. For example, my cousin is currently facing approximately the following:
- 10k price increase since the unfortunately no longer valid offer from November
- 10k stock market loss in the last 2 weeks
- Interest rate increase of 0.2% since his inquiry in December
- And now the 32k are added on top of that.

If the building permit had been approved in November, he would have had over €50,000 more and better interest rates. And all because of just 2 months. That is somehow madness.

I think if we get away with it so "relatively cheaply," we could still consider ourselves lucky. I expect worse because if single-family home construction is not desired politically, the requirements regarding standards for house construction can be raised to adventurous heights. Let's hope that not too many small house builders get crushed by political forces.

I have a question and after our call with KFW we are pretty clueless. Since we are also pretty much the first in our circle of acquaintances who are building new (both 28), unfortunately we have no one to ask.

Is it possible that we signed a financing agreement (360,000 Commerzbank and 160,000 KFW), the bank advisor submits the documents after signing the contract and these have not been approved until today and are thus lost?

I thought if I have now signed this financing, then it is all secure? Is it all only provisional?
Is it worth getting a lawyer now, in case the bank did not submit the documents to KFW at all and only wanted to do so today?

Best regards and thanks

It is a rumor that the Greens generally no longer want single-family houses. These are the theses of a small, radical faction and they are not in the government but sulking in their wing. They are as representative of the Greens as Maaßen is for the CDU.

However, the Greens no longer want to distribute money with a watering can, but rather promote more targeted support. Among other things, they also want to invest in projects that strengthen rural areas – and not just in the form of new developments with McMansions. It is understandable that we cannot continue building like this.
