On the topic of Baukindergeld:
That was really pointless like nothing else. Either 100% or nothing at all. Then those weird application deadlines with the previous year and the year before that. At that time, there was no child yet and accordingly more income, now less income but there is no funding for that.
On the topic of Kfw: I didn’t even understand what the news meant at first. I thought it was always clear that all applications until 01/24 would still be processed. Cancelling something like that without any warning is really at the level of a banana republic. The state wants everything in writing and takes 6 months to review but themselves cut funding without any deadline. As if building wasn’t expensive enough already. This won’t improve the higher homeownership rate.
