Of course, livelihoods are also at stake here. If one misjudges the situation at the moment or is overwhelmed by the increases, families and livelihoods break apart because of it.

Before we start nitpicking here, let's simply delete the sentence "Existenzen vor dem Aus" and replace it with "Fates that are being/were decided" (even though I still see it that way, especially if you have followed this thread and read how people have miscalculated here. Yes, they are probably to blame themselves, but what drove them to it is a completely different matter, now they are faced with this problem and don't know what to do...).

I would like to explain that in more detail. I see more dreams shattering here than actual fates or livelihoods being destroyed. People who actively decide to buy or build a house in Germany usually have a good income and mostly reasonable equity. Certainly, money will be lost due to contractual penalties and prepayment charges. These are setbacks in life, but far from shattered livelihoods. I would recommend taking it down a notch.

You are probably right in most cases, yet there are some in this thread (and certainly more who are not registered here) for whom it went differently, whatever reasons spoke for such decisions, and even if it was just the: "it will probably fail" attitude because it wouldn't have worked otherwise. I recommend removing the gas at this point. Trying to reprimand someone who thinks it is reasonable to expect a response from our government soon because they are simply left hanging. In my view, the subject of this thread should be taken into account here.

I myself do not count among the fates we are writing about here, because fortunately I was able to arrange my entire financing differently, yet I was too late to apply for the EFH40 funding. Despite everything, I would like to know whether I should prioritize some things later or maybe calculate promptly and with better prices than those expected in the future. Currently, I am putting some things on hold out of wise foresight and, of course, run the risk of ending up with much worse conditions than today (perhaps unnecessarily), so it is also interesting for me, even though it is by no means as tragic as for many others.

I have not reprimanded anyone here for expecting an answer from the federal government. I criticize here because financial setbacks are equated with "existence failed."
