KfW BEG funding stopped 261, 262, 263, 264, 461, 463, 464

It's about time that there is a subsidy where the replacement of an oil heating system with an air-to-water heat pump is funded with 100% of the costs. Otherwise, it still doesn't really pay off.

It was said all this time that 1 billion would be made available again for new applications, then suddenly it says in all the media 9.5 billion for all programs including the old applications already submitted before 24.01. So what is true now?

Honestly, if 9.5 billion in total has to cover everything, then it’s gone before March has even started. Habeck took billions into his mouth in his crying tirade (when he announced that the old applications would still be processed), how much he had saved, how many are still open, bla bla bla. If they were now all served from this new pot, then it would almost be empty by itself.
If you now also take new renovations and new builds from the same pot, but the program for new builds doesn’t start again fairly soon, then the whole pot is empty before the new build program has even started...

Where is my logical error?

The question that I also can’t quickly answer is how big the delta was for the already submitted applications. I know there were 24,000 applications (new builds and renovations), but how much money is behind that? No idea. If that was 8.5 billion, then that would fit with the additional billion.

Renovations probably made up about 10%. (For the open applications even significantly less, there were about 700 applications out of the 24,000) Most were the 55 new builds (and most of them developers or municipalities), who certainly in many cases will not switch to KfW 40. In that respect, the money will probably last a little longer, but possibly not until the end of the year. Since renovations according to KfW standard and new builds were in one pot so far, in my view it’s not unreasonable to continue like that.

In addition, there is a separate pot for renovations with individual measures, which was not affected by the stop. So those few renovators are not taking the money away from the new builders KfW 40 ;-)
