I don’t get it. Why should it be like that? If the pot is empty, you can’t dip into it anymore. Commitment or not.

And why is there a double standard here?

Builder 1 with application on 01/23 and immediate automatic (system generated) commitment.

Builder 2 with application on 01/18 and by random selection in manual review; currently without commitment.

So why does Builder 1 get the grant and Builder 2 does not?

We renovated completely without KfW. For us, the cost-benefit effort was not in proportion. But the energy consultant was also a real idiot. For us, however, we calculated that the house is better than the 55 standard, and what we do not save in CO2 through higher standards, we have saved many times over through recycling the house and using local materials. And the entire renovation is more sustainable anyway, since plastics were hardly used. And if so, then easy to separate and not as sandwich or composite material. Cable sheaths, roofing membrane, dowels, sewer pipes of course, but that was about it. Such renovations are so far almost exclusively done on a private level. However, there are also some villages/small towns that have created renovations as model houses in order to achieve a sort of standardization that also makes it easier for builders to plan renovations. This may also prevent small towns from turning into donuts everywhere. In this direction, a lot can be promoted and supported, and there are good examples of functioning projects abroad as well.

If I understood correctly, that is the reason why the programs that were actually supposed to continue until the new programs are in place were also stopped.

I really hope that we will not be subject to changes with our approved building application because our house will only be constructed during the course of the year.

What is the point of such discussions? According to your statements, your building application has a building permit. That is and remains your current legal position and that of the building authority! There can be no interventions in the rights of citizens that "exist" from the past in this state. An approved commitment from the KfW is binding for both parties, provided you adhere to your own specifications and the imposed conditions and requirements of the KfW. Because exactly under these points you were given a commitment.

Not at all - that's the problem. You could almost think Peter A. wanted to leave some scorched earth for the new government.
