I myself am affected by the issue with the "resolutive condition."

Only: 1. The funding program was completely stupidly set up – corporations made a fortune off the KFW55 buildings. and 2. You can think whatever you want of Habeck, but do you really believe that a minister decides something like that himself? It was the specialist officials.

And about the article: According to the Building Code, the contract is simply void – this is not a RIGHT that could be exercised. That the companies are, of course, wiping the sweat off their brows in the current situation is clear.

Who would forego possible subsidies despite having a Porsche, etc.? Probably no one! We also managed everything without any financing (we sold our previous house beforehand). And I’m glad that there is not only a loan option but also a grant. Now I’m just waiting for the payout... Note: We don’t drive a Porsche or anything similar..

We have received a new condition from our prefabricated house provider that seals our existing contract without them enforcing the price increases that they easily could have enforced like Schwörerhaus would have. But I completely agree with you, I myself do not understand why that was not taken advantage of. I see the mistake of Habeck (and also Co.) in how they ended the whole thing, they alone are responsible for that and not Altmaier who made other mistakes...

Maybe your house builder was less speculative about it? The Schwörerhaus representative also wanted to rush us into signing a contract with an 18-month price guarantee just a week before Christmas 2020, meaning it would still be valid today. And if the conditions are met, the house won't be built immediately. The representative was also very quiet about the construction time. If there is now another year of waiting attached, then they don't just lose 5000€ with such a build...

I had edited my contribution again...

I can't say why, but the fact that everyone is currently struggling with rising prices has been clear to everyone at the latest since the war (our contract is from before that as well). Even if no losses are being made right away, it is a mystery to me why less profit is accepted, when the solution is right on the table. We highly appreciate this approach from our homebuilder, but we do not want to praise too much yet, as the house is far from finished and our fixed price guarantee will already expire before the house is completed, but here we "only" have to reckon with contractually fixed 2% (albeit quarterly as well, but it shouldn't take that long anymore).

How terrible. I hope there won’t be any acts of desperation.

If the profit margin is high, they still don’t give anything back to the customer. Therefore, I do think that they could also be satisfied with less profit sometimes. I hope that at least some of the builders don’t have to be blackmailed and assume that the construction companies will now demand "sky-high prices." Of course, I wish every company its profits, but in my opinion, exploiting the builders’ emergency situation like this is bad. It’s all very sad and bitter.
